HFACT project activities will be conducted in Brazil, India, Indonesia and South Africa, countries that are recipient of ODA funding and classified as middle-income. These country’s are also home to a large proportion of the world’s poor, and HFACT’s work will include a large focus upon outputs which benefit the most vulnerable in these societies.
The outputs from HFACT will primarily benefit these four countries; however, the new evidence and applied methods should be adaptable to meet the needs of other lower-income countries working towards Universal Health Coverage. HFACT is a collaborative effort between institutions in each of the four countries, as well as the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York and Imperial College which will provide support towards the HFACT research objectives.
