Indonesia Ministry of Health Cost Effectiveness Threshold Seminar | University of York + CHEPS

On Thursday, February 13th, HFACT colleagues were invited to a technical meeting by the Indonesian Ministry of Health (MoH) and World Health Organisation (WHO). The topic of the meeting was ‘Supply Side Analysis and Policy Recommendations on Cost-Effectiveness Threshold (CET) in Indonesia’. Jessica Ochalek, University of York Research Fellow, delivered an informative presentation on global developments in supply and demand side Cost-Effectiveness Threshold (CET) and its implementation in countries such as Thailand, China, United Kingdom and Canada. She summarised the advantages and disadvantages of using a range or single number and the importance of opportunity cost. Budi Hidayat, HFACT Co-I and CHEPS Professor, followed and presented on the ‘Progress of Cost-effectiveness Threshold Analysis in Indonesia from the Supply Side’. He provided an update of the team’s progress in data management and the current status of the CET Supply Side data analysis.

Many thanks to the MoH and WHO for the invitation, it was a great opportunity for knowledge sharing and demonstrating research impact in policy-making decisions.
