The HFACT project is delighted to share the latest publication. Professor Budi Hidayat of the Center for Health Economics and Policy Studies (CHEPS) at Universitas Indonesia published “Evolution of Health Technology Assessment in Indonesia: Supply Landscape, Implementation and Future Directions” in the latest issue of Health Systems & Reform .
Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is one research method used to advise decision making to bring countries, such as Indonesia, closer to Universal Health Coverage (UHC). This paper evaluates work in Indonesian using HTA beginning in 2014. The article focuses on the implementaiton of HTA and its impact on decision making for health technology in Indonesia, as well as understanding challenges that the HTA process faces. This research undoubtedly will provide valuable insights that can inform similar programmes in other countries. Congratulations to Professor Hidayat and the CHEPS research team!
